Typical Applications The plate magnet is often used in similar applications to the suspension magnet but on a smaller scale. The suspension magnet can be used for extracting metals on belt widths between 450mm to 2000mm. If the belt width is any less than 450mm wide, then a plate magnet would be a sufficient alternative. The Plate magnet can be used in various industries including the recycling industry, ceramics and powder handling, food processing, the pharmaceutical industry, plastic and glass manufacturing and the wood processing industry. Models The Standard Plate Magnet The standard plate magnet is the most commonly used out of the Plate magnet range. The magnet itself is made from strontium ferrite and has a stainless steel casing with projected magnetic poles. The Rare Earth Plate Magnet The Rare Earth Plate Magnet is made from neodymium iron boron or similar rare earth materials which generate extremely high magnetic intensity. This particular model is used for specialised applications such as the removal of fine iron particles from powders. An optional tapered pole can be fitted to the Rare Earth Plate Magnet which ensures that any extracted contamination does not get pulled back into the product stream. The Dual Deep Field Magnet The Dual Deep Field Magnet is used to extract metals from deeper burdens and high throughput rates. With two powerful magnetic plates located at either side of the housing, the free falling product stream is fed through the top of the magnet and directed towards the plate surface by the diverter plate. Any ferrous materials are extracted by either of the magnets leaving only the clean product. Diagonal Leg Plate Magnet The Diagonal Leg Plate Magnet consists of two individual magnetic plates that are fitted into a diagonal leg arrangement. This particular model can provide double separation for when ferrous contamination may be trapped beneath a product burden. |
