Master Magnets Review 2010 & Look Ahead To The New Year  Imprimir |  E-Mail
The majority of companies in the manufacturing industry faced many challenges last year, due to the slow recovery of the global economy. For many of Master Magnets customers, getting hold of finance from Banks was still very difficult, which slowed down many projects that were due to go ahead in 2010.

Fortunately despite these issues, Mastermag had a very successful year as the demand for Magnetic Separation Equipment was still comparatively high. This may well have been due to the relatively high material prices for Aluminium and Steel.

Forecasts for Aluminium prices in particular over the next few years have been very positive and the International Aluminium Institute expects the volume of recovered scrap to leap from approximately 9.5 million tonnes in 2010, to almost 17 million tonnes in 2020. This leap could prove instrumental for an increase in Mastermag Eddy Current Separator sales, given their significance in Non-ferrous recovery.

Eddy Current Separator sales for 2010 were greater than in any other year of Master Magnet’s history and if Aluminium and Copper recovery does grow as rapidly as expected then this record could well be exceeded in the near future.

Master Magnets have had a fantastic start to the New Year, having returned from the Christmas break to several large orders and the company is hoping that this will pave the way to another successful year.

2011 will also bring another Recycling and Waste Management exhibition. Due to take place in September, this year’s show will be combined with the Futuresource exhibition that is usually held at the London Excel Exhibition centre in June. The two shows are widely acknowledged as the leading exhibitions for the UKs Recycling Industry and together accumulate up to 800 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors each year.

Managing Director, Adrian Coleman writes:

“Master Magnets will be taking a whole new approach to the 2011 show, having opted to hire a space only stand instead of the usual Shell scheme arrangement. We hope that this will allow us to demonstrate our products on a much more modern, custom-designed stand display. The stand will also be in a completely different position to where we have been located for the last few shows. Instead of being towards the centre of the hall space, this year we will be just to the right of the Entrance on the front aisle to maximise our exposure.”
